JOHOR BARU: Malaysia's No. 1 singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin launched her range of cosmetics and skin care products yesterday.

The SimplySiti line of beauty products is the result of a two-year research with a Korean cosmetician.

It has been certified as halal by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia.

A star product is the Simply 5 Cream, which acts as a moisturiser, skin treatment, UV protector, make-up and foundation.

Siti Nurhaliza, who is president of SimplySiti Sdn Bhd, said the cream is useful for Muslim women after prayers.

SimplySiti offers 97 products, including lipsticks named after her hits.

"Husbands who wish to pujuk (console) their wives should buy the Aku Cinta Padamu (I Love You) lipstick," she said during the launch at JB Sentral.

Siti said her products were also available at Jusco Alpha Angle in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, and Watsons in Plaza Angsana and City Square in Johor Baru.

It would soon hit the shelves in more than 200 Watsons, Parkson and Jusco outlets nationwide.

On exporting her products, Siti said SimplySiti would be marketed in Indonesia by the year-end, followed by Singapore, Brunei and the Middle East.

Earlier, she sang three hits: Destinasi Cinta, Biarlah Rahsia and Cinta Ini.

Her husband and SimplySiti co-president, Datuk Khalid Muhammad Jiwa or Datuk K, was present.
